Suicide Prevention for Autism Neuroaffirming (span.toolkit)

The Suicide Prevention for Autism Neuroaffirming (span.toolkit) is an evidence-based, co-produced resource portal designed to support mental health professionals working with autistic adults.

It provides free access to clinical and lived experience resources to equip mental health professionals with the tools and information needed to identify and support autistic adults experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviour.

These resources were co-developed with lived experience and healthcare experts to reflect the real-world needs and priorities of the autistic community, and to equip the healthcare sector with the tools and knowledge to better support autistic adults.

The span.toolkit was funded by a Suicide Prevention Australia Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship awarded to Dr Claire Brown, with additional support from La Trobe University and the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC).
