Understanding help giving and help seeking behaviours in Scottish residents when experiencing suicidal ideation.
This study aimed to generate evidence linked to Outcome Two of the Scottish
Government’s suicide prevention strategy and action plan (Creating Hope Together).
Outcome Two is focused on supporting the Scottish population ‘to respond in helpful and informed
ways when they, or others, need support’.
This rapid review aims to understand:-
- where help-seeking individuals go when experiencing suicidal thoughts
- the barriers they experience when considering their options for support
- what help-giving resources are currently available.
